Lindsay’s background in national soccer and dance competitions, and international equestrian meets have driven a passion for promoting wellness among athletes through creating a specifically designed yoga for athletes program. 

 

Athletes face a variety of challenges to achieving peak performance and sustaining that performance through the physical and mental strains of an entire season. Lindsay’s Olympic, professional, college and high school level clients recognize the benefit of introducing less traditional conditioning routines to their more traditional strength and training programs to enhance their physical ability and mental game optimizing career longevity as a result of reduced injury rate, improved mobility, and heightened body awareness. Her sessions assist athletes in realizing their ultimate potential though a blend of sport-specific yoga poses, yoga therapy, mobility exercises, self-myofascial release, breathing techniques and sports psychology.  Each team or player is taught to maintain the quality of movement, balancing strength with flexibility. 

 

A self-proclaimed anatomy nerd, Lindsay constantly studies movement, anatomy and kinesiology while partnering with strength and conditioning coaches and physical therapists to ensure her clients’ sessions are customized and they are receiving the best session possible. This customization addresses the body as a whole; identifying imbalances that could detract from an athletes’ overall power or lead to injuries. Her goals are simple: optimize physical ability, challenge mental focus, and aid longevity in a player’s position, all while having fun in the process.

 

Lindsay strongly believes that the more a player takes an active roll in their programming, the better they can manage their bodies through the full season.

 

Often, team sessions are held at your training facility, making it more convenient to integrate YOGA into your program. This allows your entire team to work together, at one time.

Your program is tailored to meet your teams needs and address the unique challenges that they face. Sessions are deconstructed to aid your athletes development, flexibility, mobility and stability in their position, both on and off the field.

Lindsay partners and align goals with your coaching staff to ensure that sessions are congruent with your S&C program and imbalances are addressed to maximize performance. In addition to individual attention, precise alignment cues and adjustments, sessions are designed to in-season, off-season, regen or the challenging off-day. Lindsay understands that your time is valuable, thus she looks for maximum benefits in minimum time.
